  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dried fruits
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped fresh peaches or thawed frozen peaches
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
  • 2 c. shredded mild or sharp Cheddar cheese, divided

Directions

    In a medium saucepan combine 2 cups water, dried fruit, brown sugar, lemon juice and nutmeg; heat to a boil.

    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
