- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- dash of red pepper
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2Cut shortening into flour until particles are like fine crumbs.

3Stir in cheese, mustard and red pepper.

4Add milk and stir with a fork only until dough leaves the side of the bowl.

5Turn dough out onto lightly floured board or pastry cloth. Knead just until smooth.

6Roll dough out about 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut with floured cutter.

8Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

9Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
