- 1 cup short-grain rice
- 12 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely minced
- 12 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 2 cups water
- 12 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Rinse the rice in strainer and drain.

2In a saucepan, heat the oil and saute the ginger over medium heat until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes.

3Stir in the rice.

4Add the water and salt.

5Bring to a boil.

6Reduce heat to a simmer.

7Cook covered until water is absorbed, about 12-15 minutes.

8Stir once and allow to stand until ready to serve.
