- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. cheese (Cheddar), shredded
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Cut in shortening and shredded cheese until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Mixes better with the fingers than with a fork.

4Add milk; stir until dampened.

5Drop into a greased cookie sheet by heaping teaspoonfuls.

6Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.

7Makes about 16 biscuits.
