- 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, shredded
- 1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
Directions

1With mixer, blend cheese and butter until soft.

2Sift flour and pepper; gradually work into cream mixture with spoon.

3Roll out 1/2 inch thick.

4Cut into 1 inch rounds.

5Brush with egg whites.

6Bake on ungreased baking sheet in hot oven at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.

7Makes about 8 dozen.
