  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup carrot, chopped
  • 12 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli, chopped (use flowerettes)
  • 12 cup butter
  • 12 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 cups milk
  • Tabasco sauce
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups cubed ham

Directions

    In a large saucepan combine broth, celery, carrots and onion.

    Bring to a boil and reduce heat.

    Simmer, covered, about 5 minutes.

    Add broccoli.

    Cook until tender crisp.

    Do not drain.

    To make sauce melt butter in a large saucepan.

    Blend in flour, salt, and pepper.

    Cook- stirring for 1 minute.

    Stir in milk.

    Cook until thickened.

    Add tabasco to taste.

    Stir in cheese and cook, stirring often, until melted.

    Combine cheese mixture and undrained veggie mixture.
