  • 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten
  • pecan halves

Directions

    Combine cheese and butter. Mix well. Add flour and peppers. Roll 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured board, then cut into rounds. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with egg white and top with pecan half. Bake at 425° until light brown (10 to 15 minutes).
