- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. vegetable shortening
- 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh chives
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. melted butter
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder and salt with fork.

2Cut in shortening.

3Stir in cheese and chives.

4Mix and turn onto lightly floured board.

5Roll and cut in small size biscuits.

6Bake at 450° for 12 to 14 minutes.

7Brush with melted butter before or after baking.
