- 1 1/2 lbs chuck steaks
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons salt
Directions

1Cut steak into small cubes and brown on all sides in the butter in a frying pan. Set meat aside.

2Add a little more butter and the onion. Fry until soft and stir in the curry powder and cook for 3 minutes until the mixture is well browned.

3Return the beef to the pan stirring well and lifting anything stuck to the bottom of the pan. Cover with the rest of the ingredients and cook again for 2 minutes.

4Simmer gently, covered lightly, for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
