- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- large red peanuts (optional)
- dash of cayenne pepper
Directions

1Blend cheese and butter until light; add remaining ingredients except peanuts.

2Knead to form smooth dough.

3Pinch off pieces of dough; roll into 3/4-inch balls.

4Place 1 peanut in center of each ball.

5Arrange on ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.

7May be made ahead and refrigerated.
