- 1 c. flour (leveled)
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1On wax paper, stir together flour, cornmeal, baking powder and sugar.

2In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly; add milk and beat until blended.

3Beat in butter.

4Add flour mixture and stir only until smooth.

5Stir in cheese.

6Turn into a buttered pan.

7Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

8Cut in squares and serve at once.
