Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 c. dry white wine (Chardonnay or Chablis)
- 3/4 lb. Swiss cheese
- 1/4 lb. Gruyere cheese
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. Kirsch
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Rub clove of garlic throughout on the inside of a warm fondue pot.

2Warm wine; do not allow to boil.

3Stir in cheeses until smooth.

4Mix together cornstarch and Kirsch until smooth and add to the cheese mixture.

5Prior to serving, add pepper and nutmeg. Use good crusty French bread.

6Tear off chunks and dip into the cheese.
