Ingredients

  • 1 c. grits (regular)
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) roll garlic cheese or 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, diced
  • 4 to 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • dash of paprika

Directions

    Boil grits in water, milk and salt in a heavy pan.

    Stir often until stiff.

    Stir diced/grated cheese into hot grits.

    Add butter.

    Cool.

    Blend eggs into mixture.

    Season to taste with salt, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and paprika.
