Cheese Grits Casserole

  • 1 c. raw grits
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 lb. sausage, drained
  • 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter, melted
  • 1 c. shredded cheese

Directions

    Add grits to boiling water

    and salt.

    Let cool.

    Beat eggs with milk; stir into grits mixture with the sausage, Jiffy mix and butter.

    Put in 13 x 9-inch casserole.

    Cover all with cheese. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
