- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, 1/3 cup tomato sauce, salt, oregano and pepper; mix well.

2Shape into a flat rectangle, about 10 x 12, on waxed paper.

3Sprinkle cheese evenly over rectangle, roll up like a jelly roll and press ends of roll to seal.

4Bake in a shallow baking dish at 350° for 1 hour; drain off fat.

5Pour remaining tomato sauce over roll and bake additional 15 minutes.
