  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 12 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 egg yolks, well beaten
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Spray 1-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

    For white sauce, cook flour in butter until bubbly.

    Add milk.

    Stir over low heat until thickened.

    Add cheese and salt and pepper to taste.

    Remove from heat.

    Fold in egg whites.
