  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

    In a medium sauce pan heat butter until melted.

    Add flour and stir until it becomes a thick paste.

    slowly add the milk stirring as you pour.

    Continue stirring gently until milk is thick and covers the spoon.

    Take off heat and add nutmeg, salt, and pepper

    Add cheese in bunches making sure its melted before you add the next bit.
