Cheese Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. plain flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 c. 2% milk
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1 can chicken broth (10 to 12 oz.)
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz or 1 lb. Velveeta
  • 2 pkg. frozen veggies of your choice
  • 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Fix veggies according to package. Drain and chop. Fry onion in margarine. Add flour, salt and pepper to taste, then add milk and bring to a boil 1 minute.

    Be careful not to let it burn. Add chicken broth, cheese, water, veggies and mustard.

    Heat through and serve.
