- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 lb. sharp cheese, grated
- generous dash of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Blend soft butter with flour; add grated cheese, salt and pepper.

2Blend thoroughly.

3Fill cookie press 1/2 full.

4Use star attachment and press out in long strips.

5Bake in 425° oven until very lightly brown, then cut in 2-inch strips.

6Cool and store in airtight container.

7Makes 5 to 6 dozen 2-inch cheese straws.
