  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 lb. sharp cheese, grated
  • generous dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Blend soft butter with flour; add grated cheese, salt and pepper.

    Blend thoroughly.

    Fill cookie press 1/2 full.

    Use star attachment and press out in long strips.

    Bake in 425° oven until very lightly brown, then cut in 2-inch strips.

    Cool and store in airtight container.

    Makes 5 to 6 dozen 2-inch cheese straws.
