Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 frozen pastry shell or make 1 pie crust
  • 4 oz. (1 c.) shredded American process cheese
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Combine ground chuck, milk, catsup, bread crumbs, onion, oregano, salt and pepper.

    Line pie plate with pastry and fill with meat mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Toss cheese with Worcestershire sauce; sprinkle on top of pie.

    Bake 10 minutes more.

    Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
