  • 500 grams minced beef
  • 150 grams meduim brown onion
  • 1 tsp dried mixtured herbs
  • 2 tbsp barbicue sauce
  • 50 grams packaged breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 150 grams 2 mediem tomatoes
  • 450 grams can sliced beetroot, drained
  • 4 slice cheddar cheese
  • 60 ml tomato sauce

Directions

    Combine beef, onion, herbs, barbicue sauce, breadcrumbs and egg in large bowl.

    Shape mixture into four patties.

    Heat oil in large frying pan and add patties; cook over medium heat about 15 minutes.

    Remove patties from pan; drain on absorbent paper.

    preheat grill.

    Toast buns, cut side up, under grill.

    Layer bottom half of bun with lettuce, tomato, beetroot, patties, cheese and tomato sauce.

    Top with remaining bun.
