- 4 brats
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 can beer
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 4 slices bacon, crumbled
- 4 rye buns
Directions

1Brown brats.

2Add onion and beer and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

3Mix margarine and onion salt and spread on buns.

4Take brats; slit middles.

5Place on broiler pan and fill slits with cheese.

6Broil 4 inches from heat for 2 minutes.

7Remove.

8Place brats on buns.

9Sprinkle with some of the drained onion and crumbled bacon.
