- 1 c. yellow corn meal
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 c. margarine, melted
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Combine dry ingredients; stir in 1 cup cheese.

3Add milk, margarine and egg; mix well.

4Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan.

5Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

6Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
