  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, split

Directions

    Combine first 3 ingredients and 1/4 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat. Scrape seeds from vanilla bean into rum mixture; discard bean. Cook 3 minutes or until alcohol burns off. Remove from heat; let cool.
