- 8 medium potatoes
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 to 2 c. bread crumbs (Pepperidge Farm)
Directions

1Cook potatoes; drain and place in a 2-quart baking dish.

2Melt 6 tablespoons butter and blend in flour; slowly add milk, stirring constantly.

3Heat to a boil.

4Add salt and pepper.

5Pour over potatoes.

6Top with grated cheese.

7Melt 3 more tablespoons of butter and stir in bread crumbs.

8Pour on top of the cheese.

9Bake at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes.
