- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 c. Minute rice, uncooked
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 1 bay leaf, cut in half
- 1 c. chopped onions
Directions

1Brown meat; add onions and cook until onions are tender.

2Add tomatoes and soup (not diluted).

3Add rice and seasonings.

4Let simmer about 5 minutes longer if too juicy.

5Add pepper to taste. Put all ingredients in casserole dish; lay strips of cheese across top.

6Bake at 400° until cheese is melted.
