- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/2 c. cornflakes, crushed
- candied or maraschino cherries
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Mix margarine, sugar and egg.

3Stir in milk and vanilla.

4Blend dry ingredients together; stir in.

5Mix in dates and nuts.

6Drop dough by teaspoon into cornflakes.

7Roll gently so dough is completely covered in cornflakes.

8Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.

9Top with a piece of cherry.

10Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched.
