- 1 c. unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- red and green candied cherries
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 375°.

2In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.

3Add the eggs and beat well.

4Beat in the vanilla and the milk.

5Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

6Add the sifted ingredients to the batter.

7Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

8Gently press a candied cherry into the center of each mound.

9Bake for 10 minutes or until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned and tops look dry.
