  • 1 c. pecans (reserve 1/2 c. for topping)
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
  • 1/2 c. flaked coconut

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with butter-flavored Crisco.

    Set aside.

    Chop 1/2 cup of the pecans coarsely for topping.

    Set aside.

    Chop remaining 1/2 cup of pecans finely.

    Combine flour and brown sugar.

    Cut in Crisco until fine crumbs form.

    Add 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans and coconut. Mix well.

    Remove 1/2 cup and set aside.

    Press remaining crumbs in bottom of pan.

    Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
