1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk

Directions

In large mixing bowl, stir flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and soda. Set aside. In mixer bowl, beat together margarine and sugar on low speed until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and beat until blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down center of dough with thumb. Drain cherries, reserving juice. Place a cherry in the center of each cookie.
