  • 1 cup cherries pitted
  • 3 tablespoons raisins
  • 100 milliliters apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 onion small, peeled and sliced
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 3 allspice berries
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • salt

Directions

    Place all the ingredients in a nonstick pot. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.

    Uncover and continue to simmer until most of the liquid has reduced.

    If canning the chutney, spoon into a sterlized jar while the chutney is still hot and seal. Turn upside down to cool.
