- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cinnamon
- 4 cans canned cherries
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. cold water (about)
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 c. hot cherry liquid
Directions

1Mix flour, salt and fat until mixture is crumbly.

2Add water and mix until pastry holds together.

3Roll out dough to fit pan used.

4Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon.

5Stir slowly into liquid. Cook; stirring constantly, until thickened.

6Add cherries to sauce.

7Pour into baking pan.

8Cover with pastry.

9Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until pastry is brown.
