  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. + 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. coconut
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

    Cream butter.

    Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

    Beat in eggs, one at a time.

    Sift in dry ingredients.

    Add to cream mixture. Blend well.

    Spread batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Spread cherry pie filling on top.

    Sprinkle with coconut. Bake at 350° until cake tests done.
