Cherry Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 small pkg. cherry gelatin
  • 1 c. water
  • ice cubes
  • 8 oz. plain nonfat yogurt
  • fresh or frozen cherries

Directions

    In a 3-cup glass mixing bowl, combine the gelatin and water. Heat mixture in the microwave oven until the water is hot enough to dissolve the gelatin, 3 or 4 minutes.

    (If you prefer, boil the water on top of the stove.)

    Add 5 or 6 ice cubes and stir the mixture with a wire whip until the ice is melted and the mixture is cooled.

    Add the yogurt and continue stirring until mixture is smooth.

    Add water or cherries to fill the bowl.

    Chill until firm, about 3 hours.

    Serve with more cherries, if desired.
