Hot Apple Cider Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 1 c. apple cider
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/2 salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 3 c. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. coffee-flavored liqueur
  • 1 c. low-fat milk (room temperature)

Directions

    Heat water, chocolate, corn syrup and liqueur in medium saucepan over low heat until chocolate is melted.

    Stir in milk. Immediately transfer to ice-cream maker and freezer according to manufacturer's directions.
