- 22 graham crackers, crushed
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 1 can cherries, sweetened to taste
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Combine crumbs, sugar, cinnamon and margarine.

2Reserve 3/4 cup for top.

3Press remaining mixture in a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, covering sides and bottom.

4Heat flour and cherries until thickened.

5Pour over crumb-lined dish.

6Top with meringue made from egg whites.

7Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

8Bake at 275° for 35 minutes.

9Serve with ice cream, if desired.

10Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
