- 1 cup margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light Karo syrup
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups finely chopped nuts - candied cherries
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar. Blend in Karo and egg yolks. Add flour and mix well.

2Chill dough.

3Roll into 1 inch balls.

4Dip into slightly beaten egg whites.

5Roll in finely chopped nuts. Place on greased cookie sheet.

6Press candied cherry halves into centers. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes.

7Makes about 4 dozen.
