  • 1 lb. dates, chopped
  • 1 lb. pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries, cut
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple, cut
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Combine fruit and nuts in a large bowl.

    In another bowl, mix eggs, sugar and dry ingredients.

    Blend well.

    Pour creamed mixture over fruit.

    Mix well.

    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan or loaf pans or cupcake papers.

    Bake in 300° oven 1 1/4 hours or until done.

    Cool in pan.

    Remove and wrap.

    Soak in fruit juice or wine.

    Store in refrigerator.
