- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, chopped and drained
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar and eggs; beat with mixer until creamy. Add soda, salt, flour and buttermilk. Mix on low until blended. Fold in vanilla, cherries and nuts. Bake 60 minutes.
