- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cans sour, pitted cherries, drained
- 1 c. cherry juice
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt and cherry juice in saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils. Remove from heat and add butter, cherries and lemon juice.

2Pour into pastry-lined pie pan; cover top with crust.

3Seal and flute edges.

4Make slits in crust to permit steam to escape.

5Bake at 400° for about 15 minutes.

6Reduce heat to 350° and bake 30 more minutes, or until crust is brown.
