- 2 recipes pie dough
- 2 (16 oz.) cans cherries (in syrup)
- 1 1/2 c. cherry juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. sifted flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Combine juice, sugar, flour, salt and lemon.

2Cook until thick; add butter.

3Pour over cherries in an 8-inch pastry lined pie pan.

4Cut strips of pie dough for twisted lattice top crust. Flute edge and trim. Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes, then in a 350° oven for 30 minutes. If fresh cherries are used, increase sugar to 1/2 cup.
