  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 c. Crisco in can
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cans pie filling

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Cut in Crisco.

    Add eggs, milk and vanilla (which are beaten together).

    Blend well.

    Divide dough in half.

    Roll, between wax paper; roll size of cookie sheet.

    Spread filling.

    Roll other half.

    Place on top of filling.

    Close sides. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
