  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 (6 oz.) large pkg. black cherry jello
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime soft drink
  • 2 c. (or about) pitted fresh halved dark sweet cherries
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    In mixer bowl, beat together cream cheese and mayonnaise. Dissolve jello in boiling water and stir into cream cheese mixture.

    Mix in ginger ale and refrigerate until slightly thickened.

    Fold in remaining ingredients.

    Pour into a shallow 8-cup mold.

    Refrigerate until firm.
