Cherry Winks

Ingredients

• 2 1/4 cups plain flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt (I use 2 1/4 cups of self rising flour in place of the these first four ingrediants)
• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup margarine (1 1/2 sticks)
• 2 eggs
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 cup chopped dates
• 1/3 cup chopped maraschino cherry
• 2 dozen maraschino cherries, cherry. quartered
