- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 c milk
- 3 eggs, room temperature
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Melt butter until caramel color; add milk until milk is almost scalded.

2Cool.

3Beat eggs, add salt, sugar and vanilla. Pour into pie shell.

4Grate nutmeg on top of pie.

5Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until set.
