  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. corn meal
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2/3 c. sweet milk
  • 3 eggs (save whites for meringue)

Directions

    Blend sugar and margarine, then add other ingredients.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake slow, about 375°, for 15 minutes, then 350° until pie filling is firm in middle and slightly brown, about 30 to 40 minutes, then add meringue and brown.
