- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 8 c. bread cubes, toasted in oven
- 5 c. chestnuts (canned or fresh), coarse chopped
- 1/3 c. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth, heated
- 2 c. onions
- 2 tsp. rubbed sage
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1In a large saucepan, melt butter or margarine.

2Add onions and saute until tender, but not brown.

3Stir remaining ingredients, except broth, over mixture.

4Toss lightly with a fork to moisten. Makes 14 servings, about 140 calories per 1/2 cup serving.
