  • 3 eggs
  • 1 lb. box brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. finely chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 c. coconut (optional)

Directions

  1. 1
    Melt the butter or margarine. Beat together the melted margarine, brown sugar and eggs.
  2. 2
    Add flour, nuts and vanilla flavoring to margarine mixture. Mix together thoroughly.
  3. 3
    Pour mixture into rectangular baking dish. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes.

    Makes 20 squares.
