- 1 1/4 c. softened margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans (optional)
Directions

1Cream margarine and sugar in large bowl.

2Add eggs and vanilla; blend well.

3In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

4Blend into the creamed mixture.

5Stir in nuts, if desired.

6Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
