  • 14 ounces, weight Bag Of Caramels
  • 2/3 cups Evaporated Milk, Divided
  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cups Melted Butter
  • 1 cup Coarsley Chopped Pecans
  • 6 ounces, weight Bag Semi-chocolate Chips

    Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.

    Melt caramels with half of the evaporated milk in a double boiler.

    Blend cake mix, melted butter, the remaining evaporated milk, and nuts until moist.

    Press a little less than half of the mixture into a pan and bake for 6 minutes.

    Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the baked mixture and pour caramels over chips.

    Cover with the remaining cake mixture, flatten with your hands. Bake 15-18 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
